    First and foremost, to access the Facebook Campaign planner, you must have:

    • A qualified ad account

    • A Business Manager account, and

    • Run a Reach and Frequency Buying campaign

    To access this planner,

    • Click on ‘All Tools’

    • Under advertise section, Click on ‘Campaign Planner’

    Get Started with the Campaign Planner

    To get started with your Campaign planner, you must first create a plan.

    How to create a Facebook ad plan?

    1. Access your Campaign Planner (using the above steps)

    2. Select your account for creating plans in the Business Manager

    3. Click the ‘Create Plan’ button

    4. Type your plan name in the Untitled plan section

    5. Click ‘Add a Version’ to create and compare different versions of your plan*

    6. Assign a name to each version that you have created

    7. Add the following details for each version created

      • reach,

      • budget, and

      • campaign dates

    8. Click the ‘Reserve for Purchase’ button and reserve one of your plans with the ‘Reach and Frequency Buying tool’

    *You can create up to 10 versions within a single plan

    Check your ad predictions

    You can check your prediction in the status column, which indicates whether each version is up to date and ready to serve. It is present next to each version of your plan.

    Access old plans and versions

    You can see your old plans and versions on the home screen of Campaign Planner.

    To get back to the home screen, click  > All Tools > Campaign Planner.

    Share your  Facebook Campaign plan

    Just follow these 5 easy steps and share your campaign plan with your team

    1. Select the Share button.

    2. From the dropdown menu, select the preferred format :

      •  Email

      •  Shareable link

      •  CSV file

    3. Choose 1 of the 2 options:

      Allow purchasing Allow copy saving

      If you want people to purchase inventory from your plan, switch this on.

      People can then directly purchase within Campaign Planner instead of having to recreate the plan in Ads Manager.

      Granted, the recipient of your shared plan has :

      • advertiser permissions for the Page and

      • an ad account associated with the plan

      If you want people to save a copy of your plan to their Campaign Planner, switch this on.

      It is useful when you have multiple members accessing your plan as it allows the  planning and buying teams to collaborate easily.

      However, the recipient of your shared plan must :

      • be an employee in Business Manager associated with the plan

      • have access to the Page at least as analyst

      • have an ad account associated with the plan

    4. Select the details you wish to share:

      • Pricing (budget and CPM)

      • Audience

      • Objective and ad type

      • Placement distribution

      • Frequency distribution

      • Spend-per day

    5. Click Send.

    IMP: All the above steps will work only if the plan is shared with someone in the same Business Manager account.

    But if you need to share it outside, then it is impossible through the planner. You will need to share it manually through screenshots or by writing it down.

    Sharing a plan looks simple but What happens when a plan shared through Campaign Planner is edited?

    It gives them the power to edit it. However, you won’t get notifications for the same. But if you want to be notified, you may request access to their edited plans.

    Yes, the Facebook Campaign Planner is free. But it is available only to qualified Ad accounts that use Reach and Frequency buying campaigns.
