{"id":950,"date":"2022-02-25T09:56:02","date_gmt":"2022-02-25T09:56:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blog.integrately.com\/?p=950"},"modified":"2023-04-13T11:09:05","modified_gmt":"2023-04-13T11:09:05","slug":"how-to-get-facebook-ad-receipt","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.integrately.com\/how-to-get-facebook-ad-receipt","title":{"rendered":"Facebook Ad receipts (Invoices): What are they, and how to get them?"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>It is important to be accountable in all situations (especially when it comes to money)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The same goes for your Facebook ads as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That&#8217;s the reason I have made a habit of fetching my Facebook ad receipts ( invoices ).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It helps me stay well organized and accountable on the financial front.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I wish the same for you and hence writing this article to let you know the whereabouts of Facebook ad receipts (invoices).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Let&#8217;s dive in right away.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div id=\"what-is-a-facebook-advert-receipt\" class=\"wp-block-group\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container is-layout-flow wp-block-group-is-layout-flow\">\n<h2>What is a Facebook advert receipt?<\/h2>\n<p>A Facebook advert receipt is a receipt that Facebook generates on running your Facebook ads.<\/p>\n<p>It contains details of your transaction like:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>Ad account ID<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Tax invoice ID<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Date<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Payment method<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Transaction ID<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Product type<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Amount spent,<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Reason for billing,<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Campaigns on which money spent, and<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Results from your ads<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div id=\"integrately-widget\"><\/div>\n<script src=\"https:\/\/embed.integrately.com\/widget?apps=facebook-lead-ads\"><\/script>\n\n\n\n<div id=\"where-is-the-billing-section-in-the-facebook-ads-manager\" class=\"wp-block-group\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container is-layout-flow wp-block-group-is-layout-flow\">\n<h2>Where is the billing section in the Facebook ads manager?<\/h2>\n<p>You need to be an admin of the account to access the receipts and manage billing information.<\/p>\n<p>To reach the Billing section, follow these steps:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>Open your Facebook <b><i>ads manager<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>On the left sidebar, click on the<b><i> hamburger icon<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Select <b><i>&#8220;Billing&#8221;<\/i><\/b> from the drop-down menu that appears<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Select your <b><i>ad account <\/i><\/b>for which you wish to view the information<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>This loads your payment screen and shows the details of all the transactions in a tabular format<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The table of transaction details has the following columns:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p><b><i>Transaction ID <\/i><\/b>when clicked, lets you see the transaction details online<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><b><i>Date <\/i><\/b>of processing your transaction&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><b><i>Amount<\/i><\/b> of the transaction, excluding the taxes<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><b><i>Payment method <\/i><\/b>used<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><b><i>Payment status <\/i><\/b>&nbsp;can be either:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>Paid: It is the amount spent on your ads.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Funded: It is the amount added to your ad account.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><b><i>VAT invoice ID, <\/i><\/b>&nbsp;VAT applied to your transaction&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><b><i>Download <\/i><\/b>lets you download the individual receipt.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>You can also filter these transactions using parameters like:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>Date,<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Payment status,<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Amount,<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Payment method,<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Billing reason,<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Reference number,<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Transaction ID,<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Campaign name,<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Ad set name,<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Campaign ID, and&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Adset ID<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div id=\"how-to-get-a-facebook-ad-receipt\" class=\"wp-block-group\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container is-layout-flow wp-block-group-is-layout-flow\">\n<h2>How to get a Facebook ad receipt?<\/h2>\n<p>To get your Facebook ad receipt, visit the &#8220;Billing section&#8221; Just click on Account Settings in Ads Manager, and edit the information as desired.<\/p>\n<p>Please note that these changes are shown in your<b><i> future receipts<\/i><\/b> only.<\/p>\n<p>At times, it may happen that you can\u2019t find your ad receipt.<\/p>\n<p>There\u00a0 are a couple of reasons for it like:\u00a0<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>Facebook requires 24 hours to process your ad receipts. So probably it has not yet generated your ad receipt.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>You have set an incorrect date range for viewing the transactions.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Once downloaded, you can save your ad receipts for future reference. If you find any discrepancies, contact the support team from Facebook for resolving them.<\/p>\n<p>Sharing one such discrepancy that you may come across.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div id=\"variation-in-clicks-impressions-value\" class=\"wp-block-group\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container is-layout-flow wp-block-group-is-layout-flow\">\n<h2>Variation in clicks\/impressions value<\/h2>\n<p>You may notice a difference in the number of clicks\/impressions your ad received in actuality vs. your payment receipt.<\/p>\n<p>The reason is that the ads manager shows the total number of clicks or impressions that your ad received. Whereas, your payment receipt shows the actual number of clicks or impressions you were charged for.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;Hence there can be a difference of values between the two.
